Haiku Friday - INVASION

Haiku Friday

BAM! Out of nowhere
It all just seems to appear.
What is going on?

You should be afraid!
The invasion has begun!
The TOYS are here now!

When BG was small
She had little tiny toys
that fit in a box.

Every evening I
Would gather all of them up
and stow them away.

Now my little girl
is sitting and crawling too.
That's when it happened.

Her toys have become
these huge and unwieldy things.
They're taking over!

She keeps getting more
More and more and more and more.
Do they multiply?!?!?

Not the living room,
not even the master bath,
No room is safe from . . .

THE INVASION!!!!

Go here or here to see more Haiku Friday posts.

17 I thought that...:

and then they go back to the little bitty toys... we have no more big tosy in the house. and while i do miss them, it's nice to not feel overrun by toddler toys!!

Ugh. Toys, toys, toys. They are everywhere! Drives me nuts sometimes. I wish I had a playroom.
My header pic was taken at my in-laws cabin. It is the same view as the last header pic I had, but this one is a spring photo. Thanks for asking!

They get bigger & bulkier. Trust me. We once had a 2 car garage. Now? 1 car and LOTS of toys. We once had one playroom & the kiddo's bedroom. Now? 2 playrooms & a bedroom full of stuff. (Oh, and the attic with the "baby" things)

It is like an invasion, isn't it? My game room looks like a toy box exploded as I sit on my butt and blog.

OH yeah, and it lasts for years! Thank goodness!

Toys are like rabbits - you can't leave them alone because they multiply.

And THIS is the very reason we caved and remodeled our basement for a toy room! They took over the house and only get bigger!

Cleverly, your ‘Ku
paints a vivid picture of
this ‘toy invasion’ …

I suspect it will
only get worse as she grows …
Need a bigger house?

I've got two Haiku
posts on Tennis ... Men's Upate
and a Women's Too

Hugs and blessings,

My sister rarely buys toys for her son; grandparents take care of that. :)

I always buy him books.

Awesome 'ku! That was fun to read and so very true!

Oh this is so sadly true. Toys have taken over my house, too...and we have a playroom that they're not supposed to leave.

It gets worse before it gets better, I am sorry to report!

Is it the doting grandparents, aunts and uncles who are to blame for the invation? Poor you!

I noticed that! Nifty post...

I couldn't find the "comments" button on your above post, so I'll comment here.
It is all so normal. Really. Being a mother is the hardest job EVER. You need that time to yourself. And time away always helps to remind me how much I do love my life. Time away is healthy.
And a $25 nail job? It doesn't get any better than that. And pics of the nails?

I wasn't sure if you turned comments off on your recent post above, but I totally felt the same way with my daughter. And good for you for getting a mani/pedi! We all deserve a little treat every now and then :)

For your haiku, oh the invasion must come with kids. My living room looks like toy r us threw up too.
