Haiku Friday - 100 Things

My 100 meme!!!

Yippee, this is my 100th post and in that grand tradition, I will now list 100 things about me. I really contemplated doing all 100 in haiku form, but I'm too lazy for that!

1. I am scared about having to come up with 100 things about myself.
2. I am not sure anyone will really read all 100 things.
3. I never read all of anyone else's 100 lists.
4. Wait that's not true. I read a few. But others I just skipped around and read random numbers.
5. Hmm. . . saying that makes me worried that most of you have already stopped reading.
6. I am now ready to start listing things about me.
7. I LUV Chapstick.
8. I taught high school English for 11 years.
9. I genuinely like teaching high school - even if sometimes the kids were bad or the parents horrible.
10. One of my fears is that I will be one of "those" parents!
11. I take about 100 pictures each week.
12. Most of them are of my baby girl!
13. I have a Nikon D40X.
14. I have a speedlight flash as well.
15. Just because I have a decent camera doesn't mean I take great pictures.
16. It just means that I am trying to take good pictures!
17. I use PhotoShop Elements to edit and enhance my photos.
18. I have one older sister.
19. Both of my parents are alive and well.
20. I grew up in Oklahoma.
21. I love musicals!
22. I met my husband in college.
23. We went to different schools, but met through a mutual friend.
24. I am older than my husband by one year.
25. I was in a sorority in college.
26. I didn't drink until I was 21.
27. I guess I'm a bit of a prude.
28. When I was in junior high, a boy asked me to sneak out and meet him in the middle of the night.
29. I totally didn't go!
30. I was too worried what my parents would say if I got caught.
31. My favorite drink (alcoholic) is Royal Crown and Coke.
32. My favorite non-alcoholic drink is Coke. (yeah, go figure!)
33. I go grocery shopping once a week.
34. I plan our menu for the whole week.
35. I like to cook, but I LOVE to bake!
36. If you have never tried Ree's (Pioneer Woman's) Apple Dumplings, you so do not know what you are missing!
37. I also make the most amazing Choco-Toffee Chip cookie. My own special recipe!
38. Mmmm, all this talk (or writing) about food has made me hungry.
39. I am half Asian.
40. Well, technically, half Pacific Islander.
41. I am always mistaken for Hispanic.
42. I think it's because I live in Texas and I have dark hair, dark eyes, and a tan complexion.
43. My baby girl has light brown hair (it was darker when she was born) and blue eyes. Eyes like her daddy's.
44. I wanted a girl. (I could be up for a boy with the next baby)
45. It hurts my feeling when people say that she doesn't look like me.
46. I think I might be ready for another baby!
47. I sometimes feel like the lady on the cover of a recent The New Yorker.
48. I would normally have put the picture here, but it's copyrighted and I don't want to get sued.
49. Even though I very much doubt anyone is actually still reading and would notice the picture!
50. Wow, I've made it to #50.
51. I think my mom's cooking is the best in the world.
52. I still make my mom cook all my favorites when I come home.
53. I keep meaning to learn how to make them all, but then I get lazy or forget.
54. I got horrible stretch marks when I was pregnant.
55. They didn't appear until the last month.
56. Hence, my granny bathing suit this summer!
57. Oh well. I need it to hold in all my wobbly bits and boobs that are still out-of-control big!
58. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Flight of the Conchords!

60. I also am a life long fan of James Taylor.
61. I have seen him in concert 3 times.
62. He is AMAZING live. Sounds as great as his CDs.
63. My favorite movie of all time is It's A Wonderful Life.
64. I kinda wish I were Donna Reed.
65. My second favorite movie is When Harry Met Sally.
66. I kinda wish I weren't like Sally.
67. I'm a bit neurotic sometimes.
68. I really do want it the way I want it though.
69. I used to be an avid reader.
70. But now with the baby, I don't feel like I have the time.
71. Some of my favorite books are Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, Dogs of Babel, Along Came the Spider, Under the Banner of Heaven, and all the Harry Potter books.
72. I recently finished reading HP1 aloud to my sweet baby girl.
73. She enjoyed cuddling and listening.
74. Oh I forgot to mention the classics - I also love Romeo and Juliet, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Flies, and Jane Eyre.
75. There are too many more to list.
76. I love the movie Pride and Prejudice. The one with Keira Knightly.
77. I know I'm like the only girl to never read the book. I tried but it didn't hook me the way the movie did.
78. I watched the movie every day for 2 weeks when the baby was about 1 month old.
79. I was home alone with her and I would sit down and watch it while I breastfed.
80. I can knit.
81. Not extraordinarily well, but I can.
82. I have knit several scarfs, blankets, etc.
83. The coolest thing I have ever knit was this really cute fluffy poncho for my niece. (not a picture of my niece!)
84. I love to shop.
85. When I worked, I didn't really feel bad handing over a wad of cash to buy the things I wanted. Hey, I earned it!
86. Now that I'm a SAHM, I am racked with guilt when I spend money on things.
87. Places that always get me in trouble: Gymboree, Carters, Hanna Andersson, and Janie and Jack.
88. Oh, and then there are the stores for me like Ann Taylor Loft, Nordstroms, Banana Republic, and Target.
89. Yeah, I admit it. I shop at Target!
90. I love to travel.
91. I haven't been to a ton of places.
92. My favorite place was Paris. Magical!
93. For some place closer to home, I heart San Antonio.
94. I'm scared of spiders.
95. I'm not a big fan of tomatoes.
96. Once a week I splurge and go to Starbucks.
97. I order a tall nonfat, half caff, toffee nut latte with whipped cream. (The nonfat part cancels out the whipped cream, right?)
98. Deep down I am a bit insecure about most everything.
99. I love to get massages. I try to go once a month. That's a lot I know, but it's sooooo worth it!
